Witty Things To Write In Guestbook At Wedding

wine bar in Barcelona we are talking about: The Monvinic

In Barcelona, I was presented as Monvinic being the Nec plus ultra of wine bars.
Indeed, the project is ambitious. The intention is clearly to be a new benchmark in the international "concepts" about wine. The Pursuit of Excellence
sweats every detail.

Here's a little visit to some pictures:

Admission is just like the rest of the place: design looked very sober, somber, contemporary. The location is very central, within walking distance of Plaza Cataluña:

The bar room is elegant, but we were unanimous in finding it a bit "cold". The atmosphere Alley, in a classically contemporary furnishings, is close to the atmosphere "of international hotel lounge. A little too far from the charm that we associate with wine tasting. However, I particularly appreciated the inclusion of works in bold bias (as tower entrance in the foreground):

The wine: interactive, it is ultra-detailed: map , description of the producer and vintage, etc. ... It is updated in real time, avoiding to choose a wine that is no longer available, for example.
The selection is impeccable, as can be expected. All the best winemakers in the world are represented. She is very open to foreigners, which is not so common that in Spain, where - as in France - it is rare to venture outside the national borders. The prices are reasonably high, consistent with the location, service and selection (about 7 € to 10 € a glass).

This card is also projected on the wall in the dining room:

There are not far from twenty wines by the glass for whites, and equally for red :

team of sommeliers is very competent, passionate and open to discussion on wine:

The impressive cellar:

For "Wine Geeks" a library dedicated to wine, with all the international literature reference:

The detail I love: starting, you receive a printed list and very detailed wines you've tasted. I have particularly appreciated the attention from Mugaritz .

In conclusion: a nice place, really devoted to wine, which perfectly met its target clientele amateur and easy. If I go back? Maybe not, a little too quiet and civilized for my taste.
