But also from mass tourism, neo-colonization, acculturation, the ecological footprint of tourism "solidarity" of helping physically or financially .... A report will be more consistent done soon.

How Many Years Does A Pinot Noir Stay Good?

50 years later, and now?

Yes, now what? To see the President, is this a sign of change? Now that the dust has settled on the coals remained on the ground (According to a saying of the descendants of Nzinga Nkuvu), talking about the fiftieth feasting. Let me talk about it then that nobody speaks.
I have seen beautiful pictures with jets of water and light through electricity. It is a miracle in the land of daily water cuts and load shedding.
Everyone was nice and also nice, do not rely brawlers. The joy was there.
President had cut his beard unkempt salt-pepper for a flawless look better suited to the situation. Part of the city of Kinshasa had been cleaned (O miracle!) Ya 'Mungul should have seen it.
And then there were the guests:
- The MLC was represented by its sponsor Yoweri Museveni, a former friend of M'zé. Antoine Ghonda an enemy for reasons you know.
- King Albert II, without Louis Michel, was Leopold II and Bwana Kitoko but this time without speech. One way to prevent another Lumumba appeared. Diamond with a small gift for his wife. She did not make a gift to a foundation of Cheguer, value estimated by the Belgians themselves: 200,000 euros. (Read the Evening Mag).
- Robert Mugabe, another friend of M'zé is the man who helped to block the advance of Rwandan soil of the DRC with the help of Namibians. Kagame's political opponent he hates cordially from the Commonwealth.
- Sassou Nguesso has always been there despite all the dead Congolese-Zairean Brazzaville beach. It came without the head Enyele supposed to be home. Plus nobody notices. He still has some ex-FAZ waiting for who knows what on his land.
- And Deby? Frankly, I still wonder what he was doing there? Maybe Sarkozy to please?
- Paul Biya and Bongo were happy to be there.
- The best is him: Kagame. The most popular. Some even make him the real president of the DRC (For laughter?) The friend of all: Tshisekedi, Mende, Endundo, while the RCD Ruberwa and Emile Ilunga, Tambwe, Kin-Key, mbusse, .. . The list is long, long. In short, everyone who is part of the DSA and its ilk. Not to mention that if Jo Kabila is here is historically thanks to him and Museveni through the ADFL.
Apparently, he was missing and Oscar Kashala Ngbanda. The latter was perhaps incognito. More hooting
that such and such had no right to be there. But if one were to rely solely on the fact that those who had blood on their hands of the Congolese should not be in the stands during the celebration of the fiftieth anniversary, it should be empty. Empty indigenous politicians, empty of foreigners.
In trying to understand the presence of some presidents (This is the purpose of my weasels), I thought: What if behind all this, there was Barack Obama's African-American?
Busy entangled in Iraq and Afghanistan, both inherited from Bush son, he no longer wants these massacres Central Africa inherited from Bill Clinton (Godfather of Kagame and Museveni, who defeated Mobutu and Kabila M'zé). If calm returns in this corner of the world, Obama would calmly pondering how to get out of the quagmire of Afghanistan and Iraq without losing face as in Vietnam. And especially that the disorder in eastern Congo could lead to leakage of uranium to unsafe hands. If this is not done yet.
The opportunity was too good, to bring all warring parties in Kinshasa and show the world that they finally agree. Even those who did not want to come and who showed their troubles as Kagame. Well as expected, this binding me and my ravings. What do you think?
Another thing, what can we use to show the FARDC heavy weapons as we all know they abandon them in front at the first bullet of the enemy? Remember how Nkunda has installed cheaply by picking up weapons and pay soldiers. Without forget Pweto. It might be time for them to return to FCC.
But did not mind pain, it was still a nice parade with real Chinese even if priorities are elsewhere: The sounds of weapons are still heard in the east, the LRA continues to plague Orientale Province, nobody knows where is Mbudi, Chebeya has passed away all alone, we cancel the voter registration cards instead of just making an update file and write new ones, officials discovered the right to encumber and use it ...
A lifeline even when the IMF set aside 80% of external debt of the DRC. With little analysis, Kabila may benefit against his opponents because it will make available liquidity. Attention even when the vulture funds and foxes Congolese ministers.
After all this, Radio Okapi said that because Koffi Olomide campaign for Kagame in Rwanda. When I said that Kagame was the friend of all these people. So all is well.

Tourism aggravating factor or solution to global inequality?

Powered by François Herrb

What is tourism? Born in the 17th century with the aristocratic Grand Tour, this phenomenon affects all societies today. It causes the largest migrations that humanity has ever known. 898 million people traveled outside their country in 2007 for tourism, according to the World Tourism Organization. And the arrival of Chinese tourists and emerging countries should further magnify these flows in the coming years. In France, the tourism sector generates 6.5% of gross domestic product (GDP).

Praised as an economic development tool, denounced as a new colonialism, it is at the heart of debates about the globalization of culture.

It is often criticized for tourists - this "modern pilgrim no faith animates " in the words of the sociologist Jean-Didier Urbain - its superficiality, its gregarious nature, his indifference to the sites visited, his denial of the art of travel. It now adds a critical environment (destruction of natural sites, emissions of greenhouse gas emissions related to transportation) and political (commodification of sites and landscapes, neocolonial practices vis-à-vis the local population).

In response, a comment from the other on a forum dedicated to travel:

" We read all ethical considerations on tourism, fair tourism, tourism humanitarian side of the rapacious tourists, colonizer that changes the local fabric with its dough . There is finally a big sense of guilt towards the traveler visited countries (third world). I'll make it short: bullshit! The West is inherently imperialist and colonizer, and I think it operates over the Third World home in France by eating (food subsidized by the EEC which generates the dumping food energy in large quantities, drugs) that traveling there. Traveling the Third World is finally redistribute a little of the money the system has forced us to steal for a very modest reward finally what they have to teach us or the natural wonders they let us watch. "

While nearly 40% of French people do not go on vacation, leisure mobility is also an indicator of social inequalities. The destinations are divided according to classes of society and the seasons, without drawing a social geography constantly reinvented. Tourist Destinations, elected by precursors in search of Distinction social, then spread by imitation in society and democratization, driving the elites of the time to constantly invent new practices to stay away from crowds. Latest illustration of the phenomenon: for 200 000 dollars per head, it is possible for this year to afford a trip into space ...

In response to these excesses are developing alternative forms of tourism, less consumptive and more respectful Population and Environment (ecotourism, tourism or social solidarity).

Thus we can see tourism as both a developer inequalities at different scales (globally and within societies) and as an aggravating cause of these inequalities or as a means of reducing .
